While we’ll certainly write about the whole story in detail one of these days, for now, we’ll just pick three out of the PES PSP collection: three titles that not only showcase Pro Evo’s footballing proficiency also on this portable console, but also perfectly demonstrate how the series evolved over time on the PSP.

Sony’s handheld, the PlayStation Portable, was home to a few of the best football games ever released, thanks to Konami’s admirable effort in reproducing the main game (PS2 PES) on the portable console.įrom PES5 to PES2014, each PS2 PES iteration was also released on the PSP and though none reinvented the virtual football wheel – in fact, they were almost totally just ports of the main game, carbon copies of each’s “big brother” – each has its own particular untold story, for sadly PES on the PSP went by mostly unnoticed throughout the years. Curiously, few were and still are aware of the fact that that domination was not exclusive of the PS2 console. Pro Evolution games achieved complete and utter domination over all of its rivals on the PS2-era of football games.
